Welcome To Scenic City Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine

Buprenorphine/naloxone is a medication used to manage opioid addiction. Buprenorphine is a partial opioid agonist and naloxone is an opioid antagonist. This medication can help reduce or eliminate cravings,  reduce illicit opioid use, suppress withdrawal and help patients stay in recovery longer.  Medication-assisted treatment relies on counseling and behavioral therapies, in addition to medication. For more information about  buprenorphine, please see the SAMHSA information page: http://www.samhsa.gov/medication-assisted-treatment/treatment/buprenorphine
